Users: donate some money to squash your most annoying bug!¶

An initiative has been started to help fixing QGIS bugs. The idea is to put money to hire additional developers, to speed up bug fixing and wish fulfilling and reverse the current trend of increasing number of bugs.
We already had significant successes, bringing down the total number of bugs, and especially the most serious ones.

How does it work¶

a user suggests a bug to be fixed in the Wiki with some seed funding including a precise description of his/her expectations;
more users add money as needed until someone picks it up and fixes it for the available amount;
the developer is paid directly by the donor(s).

GRASS plugin

Color ramps for vector/raster classification are a common feature in all major gis desktop software, both proprietary and open source. QGIS still misses this feature. The ticket include a proof of concept patch that could serve as base for developing such feature.

There is a python plugin (1-band raster colour table) that is evolving very well and that would fit nicely into QGIS raster properties. Support needed to make this happens.
