  • Precision move objects. Move objects pixel-by-pixel (button or key to activate).
  • Cycle selected object. Allow selecting a lower object when clicking several times on the same point/proximity. This would cycle through objects on that coordinate. So that you don't have to pull an object to front just to select it.
    ::Maybe we could have a "list of contents" from which the user can select any object currently on the page. It could also be used to change z-order in a fast and convenient way - like in gimp or inkscape.
  • Shapes with rounded corners. Rectangles and triangles with rounded corners.
  • Color gradient fills. For shapes and text boxes.
  • Grid annotation color. Set the annotation color for coordinate grids.
  • Zoom level. Show zoom percentage. And have button of print preview/zoom 100%.
  • Paragraph/line spacing setting. Today, there is a fixed line height you cannot change. In a good layout this need to be adjusted, eg small footnotes should not have such a big line spacing.
  • Multiline text for menu items. Now if you force EOL character, it works in the right panel, but not on the sheet.

  • Copy & paste composer items. With many text labels in the layout, it would be extremely nice to be able to create just one, set its style and clone a few times. In the perfect world, even between two composers.
  • Set options for multiple items at once. Now if you select two or more items, some tools work on them all, but the item properties tab affects the last selected item only. It would be nice to have it affecting them all (however it's probably less cost-effective than the point 2).
  • options for grid line types other than solid lines or crosses, e.g. dashed lines or dotted lines.
