This note describes how to select features from a layer based on their attributes. There are multiple ways to achieve this: directly via the attribute table, using "Advanced Search" query builder or using plugins like "Find by attribute"
Attribute Table¶
Basic searches can be performed directly in attribute table:
Note the three checkboxes at the bottom of the dialog:
- Show selected only will update the table view and only display selected entries
- Search selected only will search within the current selection only
- Case sensitive is enabled by default, disable to search for both upper and lower case variants
