AutoCAD Color Index (ACI) Colors DXF (Drawing eXchange Format) colors
ACI colors represent standard colors that are used in CAD drawings. Color palette includes 256 colors (8-bit color value) defined as integers 0-255. Additionally to index numbers, first 7 colors have their defined names: 1 - red, 2 - yellow, 3 - green, 4 - cyan, 5 - blue, 6 - magenta, 7 - white Either variant can be used, but please note that in CAD use, color named "white" always prints in black - this does not apply to QGIS, you have to use color with index 0.
RGB colors (True colors) are supported since DXF 2004 file format version, so all dxf files saved in versions lower than 2004 have defined colors that follow ACI standard.
