This style library provides a collection of Swedish cartographic symbols, line styles, fill styles, color ramps and text formats for QGIS, inspired by the recommendations in HMK – Kartografi 2025 published by the Swedish Mapping, Cadastral and Land Registration Authority (Lantmäteriet). The aim is to support a more consistent and recognizable cartographic presentation for municipal mapping, base maps, planning documents and other geospatial products in Sweden.

The library includes:

• Point symbols for vegetation, cultural heritage, utilities and topographic features
• Line symbols for fences, hedges, walls, embankments and other common map objects
• Polygon styles and fills for land cover and topographic representation
• Color ramps adapted for Swedish mapping applications
• Predefined text formats for map labeling and annotation
• Custom symbols created using native QGIS symbol layers and geometry generators, minimizing external dependencies

Notes

The library uses Arial Nova as the preferred typeface for text formats. Symbols and labels have been designed and optimized for a fixed reference scale of 1:1,000. Most symbols are constructed using standard QGIS symbol components and geometry generators to maximize portability and compatibility. Some simplifications has been done to complex markers.
